Welcome of the Manager
Dear guests,
I am now pleased to be able to inform you of our latest news and of events that have characterized last several months or are about to be implemented.
This year will be remembered for exceptionally low temperatures. This winter has lasted up to the begining of March and delaying the arrival of the first spring sun. In the last five months there were three severe storms and seven not quite so strong, but your vessels are still safely moored in our marina which is protected from all the winds. The biggest of all storms was at the beginning of March. On that occasion the exceptionally strong bora was blowing along the whole Adriatic coast, roads were closed and the continental part of Croatia was covered with snow and ice.
Today, 23rd March, is a beautiful day, as if there has never been any wind at all in our quiet, protected and scented bay of Sutomišæica. The amazing world of islands, blueness and the white sea-gull standing on the rock calling for the summer is beconing us. It is now time to go on!
After we have recovered from the cold and hard winter days, I wish to say thank you to all of you who have helped us to fulfil our wishes and who have shown, and maintained their confidence in us.
A huge thanks to all our dear guests who have welcomed us in Vienna, met us on gas-stations and have taken care to extend their contracts and pay for their reservations in advance. Many of you have made a long journey from Germany by bus because of us, offered us hospitality in their homes in England during the Nautical fairs and written us letters of support in moments when we were having hard times. Thank you again!
Our state administration itself doesn't give us many reasons to have confidence in it, unless it comes under great pressure from the nautical public, in carrying out tasks which it has well planned. But now is the time to move on, as we have already started to, towards safer,secure and better future.
Spring works on the boats has already started, opening in that way the new nautical season. We all wish that this season preceeds smoothly, without difficulties and accompanied by nice weather.
Although we haven't yet completed the service zone, we are able to service 2 to 3 boats a day by crane, which regardless of its 'oldfashioned caprices' reliably lifts the vessels up to 25 T and up to19 meters in length.
All the works providing service to your yachts are now offered by two authorized companies, Meridijan Yachting and a new company Mate Yachting. More details about this can be found on our web-site under the link Charter & Partner.
Being aware of the fact of how long you have been waiting for this kind of service, we are offering special discount of 5% on the price of lifting, lowering and washing the boats to all our clients who have signed the contracts for berthing up to April 1st 2009.
We kindly ask you to arrange the term by phone or mail at least seven days in advance in order to avoid unnecessary conflicts or delays.
We would also like to inform you that we are re-opening the Mini market by the end of this month and at the beginning of April we are opening the restaurant and bar in the marina. This year our guests will be offered plenty of new specialties and delicacies with special accent on the traditional mediterranean cousine, pleasure for everyone's taste and importantly suitable for everyone's pocket. Some of the planned items have been finished, lots of them are still waiting to be done but having you (and your confidence) on our side it will be much easier for us to receive and achieve everything what we have had in mind for some time.
